The opening of the Atlantic Boulevard: a great leap forward for Las Terrenas and for all investors who believe in the development of this region.
On 25th October 2011 President Leonel Fernández officially opened the Atlantic Boulevard, the Samaná Peninsula scenic route.
From now on Las Terrenas is only 1 hour and 45 minutes from Santo Domingo mainly thanks to the stretch linking El Catey to Las Terrenas.
The aim of the Government is to develop Samana Province into the “Monte Carlo of the Caribbean”.
El Catey International Airport, Santo Domingo-Samana Highway, the Atlantic Boulevard, surfacing the roads and paving the streets in Las Terrenas .. all indicate that the Samana Peninsula, and Las Terrenas in particular, have a very promising future ahead.
